Market Average Market Average The Market Average is a proprietary mathematical calculation based on actual recent transactions in your area. It provides a statistically accurate understanding of what other buyers are paying for the vehicle you have selected or as you have configured it. Adjustments to the calculation beyond make, model, and trim are normalized based on detailed, anonymized transaction information. This accounts for the fact that most or all recently-sold vehicles included different option combinations than your specified vehicle configuration. The data underlying the Market Average calculation are filtered for extreme outliers and subjected to a weighted averaging process that considers factors such as the recency of transactions and the timing of data lags. In certain instances, the calculated result is adjusted to take account of abrupt changes in the market that may not yet be fully reflected by recent transaction prices.
In all cases where the Market Average is shown there is sufficient sample size and transaction detail to be statistically reliable. N/a. TruePrice Discounted price you'll pay. These incentives are offered by manufacturers as a way of enticing buyers into purchasing a vehicle. Since the manufacturer is passing on the customer incentive to the buyer, TrueCar factors it into the Average Paid price. N/a n/a n/a Total MSRP $18,630 Factory Invoice $18,037 Market Average n/a. Our MSRP Includes the Destination Fee Why does the TrueCar manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) not match the MSRP found on most other websites? We think most sites don't truly care about price, and believe that not disclosing destination fees or shipping charges upfront creates confusion over hidden fees when at the dealership.
Why else would many car manufacturer or leading research websites not include destination fee charges in the display of the MSRP until you've indicated that you want to buy that car? For us it's simple: because the destination charge is always found on the window sticker of a new car, and is a fee that generally is not negotiable, TrueCar includes the value in the calculation of the MSRP wherever it is shown as a total.
The destination fee for the 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer is at least $835, and can vary by region. Available Manufacturer Incentives, Bonus Cash and Rebates There are no manufacturer incentives or cash rebates currently being offered for the 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer. When available, customer cash and dealer incentives can have a significant impact on a car buyer's ability to negotiate a great deal. If you are negotiating the purchase of a new Lancer on your own, TrueCar recommends keeping all rebate and incentive information in hand until you come to an agreed purchase price for the specific Lancer you want to buy. 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer Price Price Range $18,630 — $22,930 Engine & Transmission Cylinders 4 Displacement 2.0 L/122 Fuel Induction Sequential MPI Horsepower @ Rpm 148 @ 6000 Torque @ Rpm 145 @ 4200 Valves Turning Radius 32.8 ft. 24 Highway Mpg. 33 Fuel Capacity 15.5 gal.

Mitsubishi Lancer The Mitsubishi Lancer is a compact sedan aimed at people who want an affordable commuter vehicle. The Lancer was first launched in the United States for the 2002 model year. The current second generation began with the 2008 model. Competing vehicles include the Subaru Impreza, Honda Civic, Mazda3, Toyota Corolla and Ford Focus.
Styles and Pricing Mitsubishi makes the Lancer in five different trim levels: DE, ES, SE, GT, and Ralliart. DE models come with standard features like a trip computer, power windows, power locks, tilt-only steering wheel, automatic headlights, 16-inch steel wheels, and a sound system with four speakers and a CD player. ES models add to the standard features list with air conditioning, cruise control, upgraded cloth upholstery, chrome exterior trim pieces, keyless entry, front and rear center armrests, 60/40 split folding rear seat, driver’s seat height adjustment, auxiliary audio input jack, and steering wheel audio controls. An optional Alloy Wheel package adds 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear stabilizer bar, and rear disc brakes.
SE models come with all-wheel drive, the Alloy Wheel package, and roof rack mounts. GT models come with essentially everything found on the SE, but have front-wheel drive.
They also come with 18-inch alloy wheels, foglights, sport upholstery, foglights, rear spoiler, keyless entry and ignition, automatic climate control, revised front fascia, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob, auto-dimming rearview mirror, shifter paddles, color driver info display, Fuse voice-activated electronics interface, Bluetooth connectivity, six speakers, and a USB jack. Ralliart models come with all-wheel drive, hill-start assist, automated dual-clutch manual transmission, sport-tuned suspension, sporty exterior styling, aluminum pedals, upgraded upholstery, and satellite radio. SE models can be outfitted with an optional Premium package that comes with a color display, upgraded door trim pieces, sunroof, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob, and a Rockford Fosgate sound system with nine speakers, six-CD changer, and satellite radio. DE and ES models can be outfitted with numerous stand-alone exterior appearance items like chrome exhaust tips, front air dam, and a rear spoiler.
GT and Ralliart models can come with a Touring package that adds the Rockford Fosgate sound system, sunroof, xenon headlights, automatic wipers, small rear spoiler, and leather upholstery. Both trims can also be outfitted with a navigation system that comes with a rearview camera and a digital music file storage drive. A Lancer comes with a factory invoice of about $17,500 for an ES model and an MSRP of about $18,000. The GT trim level adds about $3,200 to the vehicle’s MSRP and the SE adds about another $500. The Ralliart trim adds another $8,000. Your status as a member means your Certified Dealer will treat you with respect and offer you an upfront price that guarantees savings.
Powertrain DE and ES models come with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that can put out 148 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. The standard transmission is a five-speed manual, with a continuously variable transmission or CVT is available. The EPA estimates fuel mileage at 26 mpg city, 34 mpg highway and 29 mpg combined.
SE and GT models come with a more powerful 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 168 horsepower and 167 pound-feet of torque. SE models come with the CVT and all-wheel drive standard. GT models come with the five-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive standard, but a CVT with paddle shifters is available. Fuel mileage is estimated at 23 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, and 26 mpg combined. Ralliart models come with the most powerful engine in the lineup, a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that makes up to 237 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. An automated dual-clutch manual transmission is standard along with all-wheel drive. Shifter paddles and an active center differential are also standard equipment.
Fuel mileage estimates from the EPA are 18 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 20 mpg combined. Interior Style and Features The exterior of the Mitsubishi Lancer does not coincide whatsoever with the design of the interior. Instead of featuring an edgy and aggressive look, the Lancer’s interior is more like a flash from the past when economy cars came with loads of cheap, hard plastics on the dash, center console and elsewhere. The quality of construction is also lacking, with many parts feeling flimsy and unsubstantial. Upper trim levels do come with some padding on the doors and elsewhere, which helps make the interior not feel as cheap. Surprisingly the front seats are not the most comfortable spot in the car, thanks to a general lack of support (especially at the thighs) in the front seats.
The lack of a telescoping feature for the steering wheel also does not help tall or short drivers find a comfortable position to sit. The rear seats feature more padding and support, plus there is a surprising amount of legroom for a compact sedan. The trunk, on the other hand, is surprisingly small with just 11.6 cubic feet of space, but the rear folding seats allow owners to use the backseat for larger items. The Fuse voice-activated electronics interface is a nice feature.
The touchscreen comes with difficult navigation, but the voice controls make selecting songs and changing other settings a breeze. Overall Assessment The Mitsubishi Lancer comes with a wide variety of trim levels. Those on the bottom end are quite cheap-feeling and come with little performance ability. Climbing up the chain of trim levels provides more performance, but the interior still feels cheap and flimsy in comparison to competing vehicles.
Performance enthusiasts might be able to look over the interior once they get a taste of the performance from the Ralliart version of the car. Top competing models include the Subaru Impreza, Mazda3, and Ford Focus. Originally Reviewed on June 26, 2016Have always believed that Mitsubishi has been unfairly reviewed by the auto reviews. They often pick the very base mode trims to review, but with other brands pick higher trim levels to review. I can get more at a better price than from other auto makers. I can pretty much afford to buy most any vehicle I choose having owned a new Corvette and Audi TT in the past ten years. I choose to buy Mitsubishi products and have been happy with the ones I have purchased. I am also a former ASE Master Certified who has worked as technician and instructor for 40 plus years.

I picked a black pearl sedan right off the semi truck's trailer. The first thing you may notice is the seats. Mitsubishi did nothing to the comfort of their seats on this one. I would not say they are uncomfortable, but it is something that you get used to.
Mitsubishi Lancer Gdi Engine
My biggest grip about this car (any other mitsubishi's) is the paint durability. I have a 2011 lancer as well and the paint just chips so easy from road debris. I recommend getting a touch up Read More pen in your purchase.
The car runs great (just as my 2011 with CVT) but mine is a 5 speed and the shifting sync must be out our not broken in yet. Shifting into gear sometimes can be sticky and be jammed completely. I will be making an appointment to see if the dealer can have a look just to be sure. Overall, I am happy with the car. I got a great deal on it and the manufacture warranty is crazy good. The 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer is one of the least-new new cars on the market.
The basic structure and design entered the market back in early 2007 as a 2008 model. That's a full decade ago.back when Barack Obama was an obscure junior Senator from Illinois, Donald Trump was still a reality/game show host and a few months before Steve Jobs allowed the first iPhone sales. It was a different world back then, and the Lancer feels like it was built for that long-gone past.
Last year Mitsubishi updated the Lancer's appearance, retuned the optional continuously variable transmission and added a couple more standard features. For 2017 the changes aren't earth-shaking. The 6.1-inch touchscreen at the top of the dashboard center stack is now a standard item and among the things it will display is the newly standard rearview camera. Those are more in keeping with the competition additions than true market advantages. One market advantage the Lancer does have is all-wheel drive.
All-wheel drive was part of what made the beloved, awesome performing, and now out-of-production Lancer Evolution models so spectacular. It's currently offered on three of the four versions of the Lancer itself. At the base of the Lancer pyramid is the 2.0 ES powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine rated a pokey 148 horsepower backed by a standard five-speed manual transmission. From there it's a climb up through the 2.4 ES AWC, 2.4 SE AWC and 2.4 SEL AWC, which all feature a 2.4-liter four wheezing out 168 hp that feeds through the CVT automatic and out to the all-wheel-drive system. Ten years may as well be 10,000 in the competitive compact car market, where Mitsubishi's American, Japanese and Korean competitors have been shoving new designs onto the market at a furious rate. Compared to those newer products, the Lancer feels crude to the touch, sounds raucous to the ear and flat-out isn't very quick. There are better choices, even if there are few cheaper ones.
According to the EPA ratings, the fuel-stingiest Lancer is the stripped SE with the CVT rated at 30 mpg combined (27 city/34 highway). The all-wheel-drive models are all rated at 26 mpg combined (23 city/30 highway). Those are all numbers beaten by other players in this market segment.
